I use this blog to gather information and thoughts about invention and innovation, the subjects I've been teaching at Stanford University Continuing Studies Program since 2005.
The current course is Principles of Invention and Innovation (Summer '17).
Our book "Scalable Innovation" is now available on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Scalable-Innovation-Inventors-Entrepreneurs-Professionals/dp/1466590971/
A new program lets subscribers view images of unopened envelopes and specify which ones they want opened and scanned so they can read them via the Internet.

Great to see that while I am away from my fellow citizens innovation continues...I'm excited to see that privatized Swiss Post has been a very innovative and forward thinking company - while in the past it was one of the most traditional and conservative Swiss federal owned employers.
Since they are publicly owned they built a powerful ecosystem with post finance as the powerhouse. For me an evidence that even large companies can turn around and find new revenue streams despite their past culture....but only if there are visionary people in charge that never stop exploring opportunities, are eager to find solutions that serve people's unmet needs better, faster, more efficient, affordable....So to all of the wanna be CEO-MBA, -20-year in charge of something-Innovators I have one message: stop talking what cannot be done - start exploring the biggest opportunity and find out how to address it - and if you figured out: test it!!!
