As of today, the
total number of historical updates in all Wikimedia projects, which include Wikipedia, Wikinews, and Wiktionary, is about 1.6 billion. This is just over one half of the number of
daily "likes" and comments on Facebook. In other words, Facebook gets twice more updates in one day than Wikipedia in 10 years.

Putting these two systems under the Web 2.0. (USG) label is like considering a dinosaur and a mosquito as two representatives of the same species.
